Reception Area
Please note that the Reception Area
will be open as usual on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays -
but, meanwhile due to staffing difficulties,
there'll be no lunches on Tuesdays [we hope to re-start lunches
on a Tuesday on 4th May]

Reception Area
Midweek Midday services
These services began again on
Wednesday 238th April 2010. Every week, 12.30-1pm with
lunch in the Hall to follow. Join us there! We're
exploring the resurrection narratives in the four gospel records
over the course of these summer weeks
Congregational
Gatherings
We want to ensure that
everyone has the chance to be kept in the picture and to be
involved in discerning God's way forward for us together.
Not always easy with the numbers we have here!
But we try. And one
important means of so doing is by setting aside time
periodically when we can all gather and share.
The next one is scheduled
for
June 2010, the date to be finalised: but it'll be a Sunday
evening in all likelihood when we'll hope to pick up on all
that's going on among our young people.
Getting the picture!

There's always that much going on
it's not always easy to keep track of it all!
One good way is to sign up to
receive the Update by e-mail every time it
comes out: that's usually once a week (Sunday), though
other bits of information are communicated by e-mail at
different points through the week.
The Update keeps you posted on news and information along
with prayer
points from around the world: we can simply put you on the
list, press the button .. and, wherever you are, your copy will
come effortlessly to you. For those who
always forget to pick one up it's a great way of side-stepping
all
those little memory blips!
You can receive the monthly
Bulletin in the same way. This sheet provides a
diary for the month ahead (the details of which you can also
obtain at any point, of course, by clicking above on CALENDAR
and going to the relevant month).
Or you can simply call in or call
by, chill out and chat in the Reception Area, or touch base with
Carol in the office.

a minister!

Melness and Tongue as 'Sole Nominee' on Sunday 25th April and was
elected as their minister.

Communion
The Kirk
Session is keen to develop our celebration of communion,
and accordingly the pattern through this coming year
will be slightly different.
We will be
retaining the pattern of four ‘communion Sundays’
through the year, with the sacrament being celebrated in
the morning and the afternoon: but on these four
‘communion Sundays’ the evening service will not include
the celebration of the sacrament.
Instead,
communion will be celebrated informally on a more
frequent basis at our evening worship. Moreover, the
sacrament will be celebrated at two additional morning
services as follows –
31
January 10.30am, 3pm and 6.30pm
28 March

10.30am and 3pm

The Big Picture
Edited
by Flora Johnston, this full-colour magazine gives you a
snapshot of the life of the congregation.
The next issue is
due out at the end of May or into June but back copies of the
magazine are
usually available.
There are likely to
be
some in the trays at the Information Point, or alternatively ask
at the Church Office.
Your Guide

Copies of our 'welcome pack'
are available from the Reception Area.
A useful size (half-way between A5 and A6 - if that
means anything to you!) it's an attractively produced,
full colour, glossy little booklet which hopefully
provides a comprehensive welcome to our life.
