The church is more than
just a building and our faith is more than just a one-day-in-the-week
pursuit.
The church of Jesus
Christ is people. Always has been. Always will be.
And
the life of the congregation here reflects that.
160 years ago when the church was first
started here, Davidson’s
Mains was very much a small village on the outskirts of Edinburgh.
Although
today it has been largely engulfed in the suburbs of the city, it still
retains much of that village character, with the local church continuing to
play an integral part at the heart of the community’s life.
